The Rice Street Festival Royalty Scholarship Program is a Non-profit organization which is supported by fund raisers, donations, and the North End Business Association.  

The Rice Street Festival Candidate Program starts in May and continues thru July.  After coronation, the newly chosen Royalty will serve as representatives for the Rice Street Festival for the rest of their reigning year.

This program provides a college scholarship for each ambassador crowned. A total of three ambassadors are selected each year. The Rice Street Festival Organization promotes pride within the community, promotes volunteering in the community and surrounding communities, and supports other organizations in the community.  

Each ambassador during their reigning year attends statewide parades, different benefits, community festivals, grand openings, charity events, nursing homes, community service events, and fund raisers.
